My brand new flip MINO HD will not turn on!! HELP. Anyway, it never turned on for me when I got it home, so I hooked it into the USB port and the red light stayed solid, next to the lens, then it went off after 10 minutes or so. I have tried to press and hold the buttons and I have tried to put a paper clip in the mounting hole and I have been. Whenever I plug it into a power source the red lights on the front (near the lense) come on, but whenever I go to turn on the camera it won't work. The Mino is close enough to the HD that it wasn't hard to get it apart If your Flip MinoHD won't turn on, you may simply have a drained battery and it must be charged by plugging the device into an outlet using the charger Please let me know if you know how to make it turn on Hi i have a Flip Mino HD that would not charge, turn on, reset, anything, took it apart to get battery no and order one checked voltage and it was 4.1V put it back together and it worked wonder if removing the battery fixed the problem, eg it powered fully down anyway another way to try to fix it -From GB I had the same symptoms didn't turn on, flashing white light forever and the drive wouldn't mount. I just managed to fix my Flip Mino (not HD), following the MinoHD manual and Scott's tip above.
